Specific implementation tools are for instance implementation guides, documentation and evaluation tools, posters, videos and the like, which support the implementation of Surgical Safety Checklists.

The High 5s project is a patient safety collaboration among a group of countries and the WHO Collaborating Centre for Patient Safety in support of the WHO Patient Safety Programme. Within this initiative a standardized process with the aim of preventing wrong site, wrong procedure, wrong person surgery (High 5s SOP Correct Site Surgery) is being tested in hospitals in France, Germany, Singapore, Trinidad and Tobago and the USA. After completion of the project in 2015 the finalized SOP Correct Site Surgery will be available for widespread dissemination. More information on the High 5s project can be found here:
