Methodology
The e-learning program, comprising ten modules, was launched in 2012 and is estimated to have over 200 000 users in Finland by 2014. The program is a corner stone of the national patient safety strategy.
Collaboration with Huperman Oy has generated exceptional and distinctive patient safety training, which emphasises Finnish knowhow in the field of healthcare.

Results
Method used to measure the results
We have decided to use the following indicators:
1. Feedback from the healthcare professionals, who have completed the e-learning course. There is a feedback questionnaire at the end of the course. The questionnaire focuses on learning experiences, content and development ideas.
2. Change in patient safety culture in organizational level. The change in patient safety culture will be measured using a nationally validated patient safety culture indicator, TUKU patient safety culture questionnaire (measurements are made before and after the e-learning course).
3. Measuring the amount of healthcare professionals, who have performed the course (people per profession, people per organization)
4. There is an open-ended questions at the end of some section of the e-learning course. The purpose of the open-ended questions is to activate the students to apply the things they have learned into their own work and working environment. It is possible to make a qualitative analysis of the answers and see if there are any noticeable trends.
Results
All health professionals (100%) has basics at patient safety since beginnig of 2015.
Analysis of the results
The implementation was started at the beginning of 2013 and it is still unfinished. The goal is that 140.000 healthcare professionals have performed the e-learning course by the end of the year 2014. At the moment about 40 000 healthcare professionals around Finland have completed the course.
