The benefits of implementing EN 15224 in health facilities include, first and foremost, risk management of clinical processes in accordance with the latest state of knowledge and technology, increasing patient safety, reducing risks, as well as improving patient relationships and increasing their reliability.
The role of quality satisfaction in patient satisfaction is a very important topic. This thesis is confirmed by the fact that the introduction and certification of management systems can be a resource of the medical institution in contracts for medical services. Rule n. Decree of the President of the National Health Fund dated 23.01.2014 “Health to enter into a contract for the provision of services on the refinement of the criteria for the evaluation of procedures” DSOZ- management team must have certificates to scores of medical institutions.
Depending on the type and scope of services provided, each governmental and non-public health institution may receive additional points for obtaining accredited certificates of the following management systems when concluding a contract for the provision of health services with the National Health Fund:
this is a completely new standard and so far only a few medical organizations have decided to start the certification process for this system. Certification bodies are feeling the positive effects of the above legislation due to the growing interest of customers, especially in integrated certificates, but the system based on the requirements of EN 15224 can be expected in the near future to slowly replace the quality management system based on ISO 9001.
The issue of health management systems will be discussed at the expert seminars organized by TÜV Rheinland Polska in May 2014.
